In the presence of Hellenic National Defence General Staff Chief, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Distinguished Visitors Day of the bilateral, joint Greek–Egyptian military exercise Medusa 14 took place on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The exercise, held in the wider Alexandria region of Egypt, began on Sunday, Nov. 16, and concludes on Wednesday. Its primary objective is to enhance joint training and deepen interoperability and cooperation among the participating nations.

In parallel with Medusa 14, two additional exercises were integrated into the training framework: MINA 25, coordinated by the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, and HERCULES 25, overseen by the Special Warfare Command.

France, Cyprus, and Saudi Arabia took part with personnel and assets, while observers from Algeria, the United States, Jordan, Italy, Qatar, Congo, Kuwait, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, and Tunisia were also present.

The Distinguished Visitors Day featured the execution of complex, operationally oriented scenarios involving personnel and assets from the participating countries, as well as all three branches of the Armed Forces and the Special Warfare Command. These included:

• High-altitude military free-fall insertion.
• A combined amphibious operation supported by fighter aircraft, attack helicopters, and Special Operations units.
• Non-Compliant Boarding (MIO–VBSS) procedures, along with coordinated Search and Rescue (SAR) missions.
