95-Year-Old Dies in Head-On Crash

A 95-year-old driver traveling in the wrong lane at high speed collided with multiple vehicles near Larissa, Greece, resulting in his death

A 95-year-old man lost his life in a tragic traffic accident outside Larissa, Greece, after driving in the wrong direction on the road from Nikaia to Nees Karyes. The driver first collided with a car and then struck a small truck, leading to fatal injuries.

A 78-year-old driver involved in the crash described the scene: “I saw him like a beast in front of me. He was 95 years old, and his license was expiring in six days. It wasn’t just that he was 95—he was speeding.” He added that although his own vehicle sustained damage, he and his wife were unharmed.

The elderly driver was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities conducted a forensic examination to determine whether the death was caused by the accident itself or by pre-existing medical conditions.

The 95-year-old had departed from Kalamaria, heading toward Chalkida, at the time of the crash.
