Greek police have arrested four teenagers, two boys and two girls aged 15 and 16, in connection with the violent assault of an 18-year-old in the Athens suburb of Ilioupoli. The attack, which took place on Monday night in a central square, left the victim injured and without his mobile phone.
According to police, the group confronted the young man while he was speaking with friends. One of the girls slapped him before two boys repeatedly punched him in the face and body, knocking him to the ground. They then stole his phone before fleeing the scene.
What shocked investigators further was that the two girls filmed the assault on their phones while hurling insults at the victim. The suspects now face charges of robbery, causing bodily harm, verbal abuse, and violating personal data laws.
In addition to the teenagers, three of their parents were arrested on charges of neglecting their duty of supervision.
