The countdown has begun for recipients of Greece’s Fuel Pass subsidy, with just days remaining to use the balance credited to their digital prepaid cards.
The voucher must be used by July 31. After that date, any remaining balance will automatically be returned to the Greek state, and the prepaid digital card will be deactivated.
Subsidy Amounts
The amount of financial support varies depending on the type of vehicle, the payment method selected and the recipient’s place of residence.
For car owners, the subsidy is:
- €60 via digital prepaid card for residents of the North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands and Crete regions, as well as the island areas of Sporades, Thasos, Skyros, Samothrace and Ammouliani. Those who opted for a bank transfer instead receive €50.
- €50 via digital prepaid card for eligible recipients in the rest of Greece, or €40 if paid directly into a bank account.
For motorcycle and moped owners, the subsidy is:
- €35 via digital prepaid card for residents of the North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, the Attica Islands regional unit, and the island areas of Sporades, Thasos, Skyros, Samothrace and Ammouliani. The amount falls to €30 if paid by bank transfer.
- €30 via digital prepaid card for recipients in the rest of the country, or €25 through a bank transfer.
Use the Balance Before the Deadline
Authorities are reminding Fuel Pass beneficiaries who still have funds available on their digital cards to use the remaining balance before July 31.
Once the deadline expires, the cards will no longer be valid and any unused subsidy will be automatically returned to the Greek state.
