The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) participated in the multinational air exercise Orion 2026 in France from February 3 to February 16, 2026, deploying four Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets and personnel from the 331 Squadron of the 114 Combat Wing. The squadron operated from Mont de Marsan Air Base in southwestern France.

During the exercise, Greek pilots executed a wide range of missions covering the full spectrum of air operations. The training was carried out in a simulated environment of complex, modern aerial threats, aiming to strengthen operational readiness and enhance cooperation and interoperability with other participating forces.
Other nations participating in Orion 2026 included France, Germany, which deployed Tornado jets, and Qatar, flying Rafale aircraft. The exercise provided an opportunity for the HAF to train alongside international partners and refine tactics in a challenging multinational environment.
