A mother in central Greece was arrested on charges of child pornography after she was found to be pimping her underage daughter.
The suspect, 52, was arrested by officers of the sub-directorate unit of Volos in central Greece following a warrant issued by the local prosecutor’s office.
The mother was reportedly photographing and recording videos of her daughter, who is under 10 years of age, and sending them to a man in the city of Lamia who is under temporary custody.
The mother’s illegal activities came to the attention of the officers after a nationwide police investigation into online child pornography, leading them to the suspect’s house.
The material circulated by the suspect is currently being assessed by a special forensic unit tasked with examining online felonies. At the same time, police have seized electronic and data storage devices at the woman’s house.
The suspect is expected to appear before the competent prosecutor.
