A series of events by the Hellenic Navy in commemoration of the annual feast day of St. Nicholas, its patron saint and seafarers in general, are set to begin on Saturday and culminate on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

This year will also see a commemoration of the Greek navy’s victories in the battles of Elli and Limnos, during the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913.

Among others, docked warships will be open to the public, beginning on Monday and until Wednesday, the feast day of St. Nicholas on the Eastern Orthodox ecclesiastical calendar. The Salamina and Souda naval stations are excluded.

Museum ships will also be open to the public.
