Two back-to-back heat waves are expected to hit Greece in the coming weeks in what experts can only comment as an April fool’s joke.

It looks like summer is going to make an early appearance with temperatures in April resembling those of late June.

Specifically, meteorologists anticipate temperatures to range from 12 to 16 degrees higher than normal this time of year.

The first of the two heatwaves, set to hit early next month, is said to be the most intense.

The unseasonal phenomena are expected to affect the whole of Europe as well as the US, eastern Canada and Greenland.
