A 50-year-old man from Iasmos, in the region of Rodopi in northern Greece, has been arrested for killing his 82-year-old father after attacking him with a walking stick.
According to police, the man faces charges of fatal bodily harm and domestic violence. The incident occurred inside the family home, where the elderly man was found dead shortly after the assault.
While the autopsy concluded that the cause of death was cardiac arrest, the victim also sustained head injuries consistent with a violent attack. The walking stick allegedly used in the assault has been seized as evidence.

Local reports suggest that the father and son often argued, and witnesses described a troubled relationship between the two. Sources cited by Greek media outlet Mega indicated that the suspect may have been suffering from serious psychological issues.
