A multinational aeronautical exercise, codenamed “Aegean Seal 25-I”, took place in the wider maritime region of the southern Evoikos and Saronic Gulfs in the Aegean for 11 days earlier this month.

This exercise is organized annually by the Hellenic Navy and focuses on naval special operations, specifically pre-landing operations for shallow water mine clearance and mine neutralization and improvised explosive devices and mechanisms.

The Hellenic Navy participated in the exercise with the general support vessel “PGY Atlas I,” equipped with a helicopter (type S70B, Aegean Hawk), as well as with resources and personnel from the underwater demolition squad.
