Residents in parts of Greece reported unusual sightings of objects falling from the sky this week, triggering widespread speculation and concern.
The most striking incident occurred Tuesday night in the area of Atsiki on the island of Lemnos, where witnesses said multiple objects suddenly appeared in the sky and moved downward in a manner resembling a fall.
According to eyewitness accounts, the objects seemed to “cut through” the sky, creating a dramatic visual display.
“It was an intense and strange sight,” residents reported, noting that the objects appeared without warning and descended rapidly, with no immediate explanation for their origin.
The unexplained phenomenon quickly sparked debate among locals. Some suggested the objects could have been meteorites, while others speculated they might be man-made. However, no official confirmation has been provided.
A similar siting was also recorded in Elefsina, a town near Athens, where a flaming object was seen crossing the sky, leaving behind a long, bright trail. Videos shared on social media captured the moment.
Officials are now looking into both cases to determine the nature and origin of the objects.
