Pharmacies in the greater Athens region will be closed on Monday, September 14.
The announcement was made by the Pharmaceutical Association of Attica, which detailed that they will remain closed to honor the Feast of the Cross, as in each year.
That being said, specific pharmacies throughout the Athens region will be in operation to service the public.
For more information, check the list of the closest pharmacy in operation today as posted on the window of your local pharmacy. The pharmacies will be open both during the day and throughout the evening.
The Feast of the Cross, also known as the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, commemorates the dedication of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and the public veneration of the True Cross, later also linked to its recovery by Emperor Heraclius.
