A coordinated police operation took place on Monday morning in the area of Gerakas, a suburb of Athens, resulting in the confiscation of air rifles and audio equipment, including speakers and amplifiers.
The operation was carried out by the Attica Directorate for Crime Investigation and Resolution, in collaboration with the counterpart unit from Pallini. The raid targeted a local settlement where law enforcement had previously identified various suspected illegal activities.
During the sweep, police officers detained 16 individuals in connection with multiple offences. These included electricity theft, resisting law enforcement, and violations of firearms legislation.
Among the items seized were two air rifles and a substantial amount of sound equipment, raising further questions about the activities taking place at the site.
Authorities have not released further details on the identities of those detained or the ongoing investigation. However, the police have shared footage of the raid, highlighting the scale and organisation of the operation.
