Shocking Video Shows Fatal Attack in Neos Kosmos

A 29-year-old man violently attacked a 58-year-old driver in broad daylight after a traffic dispute, with surveillance footage capturing the entire 11-second assault

A newly released video from Neos Kosmos, Athens, shows the fatal attack on a 58-year-old man following a traffic altercation. The footage, obtained by MEGA, captures the sequence of events in chilling detail.

The video shows the victim’s car entering Soulie Street, followed by two motorcycles pursuing him. After losing control and colliding with a parked vehicle, the 58-year-old becomes trapped. The 29-year-old assailant, appearing calm and methodical, steadies his motorcycle, approaches the driver’s window, and begins striking the man repeatedly.

The assault lasts more than 10 seconds, during which the attacker lands over 15 punches, displaying what observers have described as almost professional technique. Residents arrive at the scene shouting for the assailant to stop, and the second motorcyclist—who had also participated in the chase—can be seen frozen in shock. The attacker then calmly gets back on his motorcycle and flees.

Background of the Attacker

According to a key witness, the incident originated from a minor traffic dispute on Fratzi Street, where the 29-year-old struck the 58-year-old during an initial confrontation over right-of-way. The witness said the victim apologized, and the attacker initially calmed down and left the scene.

The 29-year-old then reportedly went to a local gym to cool off. The same individual, who has a history of violent behavior, is skilled in martial arts and has a lengthy criminal record, including multiple previous assaults. Social media posts suggest he regularly showcased his combat skills.

This was not his first violent incident. About a month earlier, he attacked a truck driver, striking the driver’s assistant and another helper with significant force, leaving them injured. Despite these previous assaults, he was charged only with minor offenses and was allowed to remain free.

Following the Neos Kosmos attack, the public prosecutor has filed felony charges for premeditated murder, citing that the assault was carried out in a calm state of mind, underscoring the severity and calculated nature of the crime.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, and the video has sparked outrage over road violence and concerns about repeat offenders with violent histories being able to remain at large.
