Sofia Mitsotaki, daughter of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has publicly denied reports claiming she returned to Greece from Oman by private jet. In a social media post, she described the claims as “baseless” and expressed strong frustration over what she called the spread of false information.
According to Mitsotaki, she returned to Greece on the fifth repatriation flight organized for Greek citizens leaving the Middle East. These flights have been arranged as part of a broader effort by Greek authorities to assist nationals in the region during the ongoing crisis.
“It is truly inconceivable the insult I feel seeing such unfounded information being circulated,” she wrote, criticizing what she described as fake news surrounding her return.
Mitsotaki, who works in the region, clarified that she followed the same repatriation process as other Greek citizens seeking to travel back to Greece.
Her statement comes amid heightened public attention around repatriation efforts and the movement of Greek nationals from the Middle East, as authorities continue coordinating flights for those wishing to return home.
