A disturbing case of school violence in Rhodes, Greece, has sparked immediate action from local authorities after parents reported abusive behavior toward a young student.
The incident, which occurred on February 26, involved students forcing a second-grade pupil to drink water from a toilet. The event caused alarm among the local community and prompted reactions from both parents and school staff.
According to Charalampos Psaras, the deputy regional director of education for the South Aegean, this was not an isolated case. He noted that violent incidents among students, both inside and outside school premises, have increased in recent years.
In response, coordinated measures are underway involving teachers, psychologists, and social workers from the local educational support center (ΚΕΔΑΣΥ). These efforts aim to address the incident scientifically and ensure the well-being of all students involved.
