The stormy weather that swept through the country yesterday persists, as rain and thunderstorms are expected in western Greece, the central mainland, eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the eastern Aegean, the eastern Peloponnese, eastern mainland (including Attica), Evia, and the northern Cyclades. Phenomena will move to the Dodecanese from the afternoon onward.

Weak snowfall is also expected in the mountainous regions of mainland Greece.

Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust, mainly in the eastern and southern parts of the country.

Winds in the west will blow southwest at 3 to 5 points on the Beaufort scale, reaching 6 Beaufort in the Ionian Sea. In the east, winds will blow south at 5 to 7 Beaufort. High winds will blow south at 8 even 9 Beaufort in the Aegean, keeping some open-type ferries at dock, but will gradually weaken as the day progresses.

Daily highs will reach 14 to 16 degrees Celsius in the west and north, and 17 to 19 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country.
