Today much of Greece will wake up to clouds and a damp feeling in the air, which will turn into rain or the infamous “mud rain” in some areas, as the country is again enveloped in African dust.

The densest clouds should be expected in the regions of Thrace and the islands of the eastern Aegean where rains are promised.

In the rest of the country, in the Ionian Islands and on the mainland, there weather will be rather fickle, alternating between sun and clouds.

The greater Attica region should also expect clouds, temperatures between 16 to 25 degrees Celsius, and blustery conditions with winds blowing between 6 – 7 Beaufort in the surrounding sea areas.

In Thessaloniki, local rains showers will be interrupted by dryer spells with clouds. The temperature will vary from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius, while the winds will blow up to 4-5 Beaufort in the Thermaikos gulf.
