Greece’s U21 football team pulled off an impressive 2-3 win on Friday against home team Germany for a UEFA Euro qualification match in the Group F competition.
The Greek side went ahead 0-2 with goals by Konstantinos Kostoulas (12′) and Stefanos Tzimas (14′), only to see the German team score two goals in the second half to tie the game at 2-2.
Dimitris Rallis’ goal in the 81st minute proved to be the game-winner.
The game came a day after the senior men’s side suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat at the hands of Scotland after first going up in the second half 0-1 and then surrendering three goals in a World Cup play-off game at Hampden.
