Stores across Greece will operate on a festive schedule on December 31, with specific closing times for retail shops and major supermarket chains ahead of New Year closures

Greek stores and supermarkets are operating under extended holiday hours on Christmas Eve, with adjusted schedules in place through early January as shoppers make last-minute purchases ahead of the holidays

On this first Sunday, shops will operate from 11:00 to 16:00, while the two subsequent Sundays will see stores open from 11:00 to 18:00. According to the Athens Chamber of Commerce the holiday shopping hours are indicative and optional

The local Commercial Associations have released their recommended schedules for the Christmas and New Year period, noting that these hours remain indicative and optional.
