Washington and Brussels are considering a fresh round of sanctions as the war in Ukraine shows no sign of ending, while Moscow insists restrictions will not change its stance

Germany has made its position clear. Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said Berlin will not support EU sanctions against Israel at this stage.

While the EU intensifies its economic measures, both Russia and Ukraine remain locked in an ongoing cycle of attacks and counterattacks, many involving increasingly frequent drone warfare.

The sanctions target the so-called shadow fleet of third-country vessels that enables Russia to export oil and gas by circumventing Western sanctions.
