Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt on Friday continued his “Big Fat Greek” film shooting in the country, with central Athens and the capital’s neo-classical city hall serving as the backdrop after the production set up in isle of Hydra and the south-central city of Halkida.
Pitt personally greeted dozens of awaiting fans with his now ubiquitous “hello, guys” amid cheers and applause.
The Oscar award-winning star arrived in Greece for the filming of his new movie, “The Riders”.
The movie is based on the same-name novel by Tim Winton and is directed by Edward Berger. Brad Pitt plays the role of Fred Scully, while co-starring alongside him are Julianne Nicholson and Coco Greenstone.
The story follows a man who settles in Europe with his family, only to deal with the mysterious disappearance of his wife. The search that follows turns into a journey filled with suspense and emotional twists, according to publicity material.
The first shooting location was the iconic Saronic Gulf Island of Hydra, where Pitt arrived last month and stayed for several days, sparking increased media attention.
