After a rousing premiere on January 25th, the improv group HOI POLLOI returns to the stage on March 1st powered by the Athens English Comedy Club and House of Improv.
Prepare for an evening of pure, free-form fun with a classic improvised show. At the beginning of the show the acting team take inspiration from the crowd, that is then performed in a random number of scenes. Free improv utilizes all the tools of improvisation theater, offering stories and scenes that can be both funny and dramatic, surreal and grounded, short and long.
Featuring some of Athens’ most experienced performers bringing to life bold characters, unexpected connections, joyful chaos, and awkward on-stage shenanigans. Every night will be completely different, and anything can happen.
This is improv that celebrates the weird, warm, confusing, and human side of all of us, performed in – let’s be real – moderate English.
