This October, Athens welcomes the very first edition of the BRAINSHOT FESTIVAL: TRANSFORMATIONS 2025 — a two-day celebration of creativity, inclusion, and renewal.
The festival poses a simple yet powerful question:
What does it mean to transform — a body, a garment, a story, a community?

Artists, performers, and collectives from Greece and abroad unite to explore transformation through dance, performance, visual installations, fashion, and participatory workshops.
From upcycled fabrics and movement-based storytelling to soundscapes that can be felt rather than heard, the festival embraces creativity as a living, inclusive force of change.
At the Heart of the Festival: SYN.Tropia
At the festival’s core lies SYN.Tropia, by Yola Pinto and Simão Costa, presented for the first time in Greece in two exclusive performances as part of Perform Europe 2025.
This immersive dance concert invites both hearing and deaf audiences to experience sound in a completely new way — not just as something heard, but as something seen and felt.
With the innovative Tactile Listening Board, sound becomes vibration and light, offering a full-body sensory experience that transcends the boundaries of hearing.
Only 60 audience members per show will have access to this groundbreaking tactile system — making it one of the most innovative, inclusive, and moving performances ever staged in Greece.

Beyond Sound and Vision: The Performance “μπ(λ)αλούν”
Thu 23/10 | 19:00–19:45
In μπ(λ)αλούν, a mixed ensemble of performers with and without visual or hearing disabilities explores communication beyond words.
Through body music, vibration, and rhythm, they create a shared language of perception and emotion — one that is fully inclusive and accessible, requiring no interpreters or assistive technologies.
The work stands as a global artistic innovation, proving that art can bridge every sensory difference and connect us through presence, motion, and empathy.

Awareness Through Art: The “Your Turn” Campaign
In collaboration with Open School Days and Nevronas, BRAINSHOT co-hosts the national awareness campaign Σειρά Σου (It’s Your Turn) — a movement dedicated to raising visibility and understanding around invisible disabilities.
After two years of active presence, countless events, and ambassadors across Greece, the campaign continues to make an impact — aiming to engage and educate, especially younger generations, through creative and educational actions that foster empathy and inclusion.
