Prep. Time 10′     Baking Time 10′      Serves 30

Ingredients

  • 180 grams butter
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 225 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 150 grams chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  2. In a bowl or mixer, beat the butter with the sugar until the mixture becomes creamy and the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the egg and whisk or mix until absorbed.
  4. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients, gently folding the mixture with a spatula or by hand.
  5. Finally, add the chocolate chips and gently fold to incorporate.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180°C or a convection over to 160°C.
  8. Using a teaspoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet, leaving enough space in between as they spread during baking.
  9. Gently flatten the cookies with the back of the spoon.
  10. Bake for about 12 minutes. When removed from the oven, they should be slightly soft, just set.
  11. Allow them to stand for 10 minutes on the baking sheet to prevent them from falling apart, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy!
