European Parliament President Roberta Metsola will travel to Athens on Friday, November 28, for an official visit that includes meetings with Greece’s top political leadership and the launch of a new public venue dedicated to European engagement.

Scheduled Meetings

President Metsola will be in Athens on a full day of official engagements. At 09:30, she will meet with Nikitas Kaklamanis, Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, followed at 10:15 by a meeting with Konstantinos Tasoulas, President of the Hellenic Republic.

At 11:00, she will attend the inauguration of the Europa Experience. The new center is designed to help visitors understand the role and functions of the European Union. The inauguration will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Mitsotakis, the EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, and senior members of the Greek Parliament.

The day will continue with a 12:45 meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, which will be followed by a press conference at 13:15.

The day will conclude at 13:45, when President Metsola and Prime Minister Mitsotakis participate in a joint town hall discussion, titled “Empowering the Next Generation of Europeans,” with students; a conversation aimed at highlighting youth engagement in the future of the EU.
