The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is organising a public discussion entitled Europe in the Age of Power: Who Will Shape Its Future? on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, at 19:00, at the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Centre.
During the discussion, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of National Economy and Finance of Greece and President of the Eurogroup, will be in conversation with Giuliano da Empoli, a writer and political scientist known for his work on the rise of populism and new forms of political power.
Giuliano da Empoli is the author of the international bestseller The Engineers of Chaos, which explores the forces behind the rise of populism, and The Wizard of the Kremlin, which received the Grand Prix du Roman de l’Académie française.
The discussion will be moderated by Loukas Tsoukalis, President of ELIAMEP’s Board of Directors and Professor at Sciences Po in Paris.
The event aims to provide an opportunity for an in-depth discussion of the forces shaping Europe today, the choices facing the continent and its prospects at a time of profound geopolitical and political change.
