Ruling New Democracy (ND) party on Thursday saw an increase in voters’ support, according to the most recent Metron Analysis poll conducted for Mega TV and presented on the nationwide channel’s primetime newscast. The development comes amid ongoing military operations and outright warfare in the Middle East.

However, respondents’ concerns over inflation and the lingering impact of alleged political scandals continue to fuel anti-government sentiment.

With an all-important extrapolation of the results, ND reaches 31.1%, with socialist/social democrat PASOK at 13.6%, and Plefsi Eleftherias 10.5%. The poll also indicates eight political parties entering Parliament, if the results of the latest poll are repeated in a general election.
