State Dept. Denies Reports on Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Appointment

A spokesperson denied reports in the Greek press claiming the Trump confidant was not expected to assume the post in Athens

The US State Department on Monday dismissed reports in the Greek press suggesting that Kimberly Guilfoyle is no longer expected to be appointed as America’s ambassador to Greece.

In a statement to “To BHMA International”, a spokesperson for the Department of State said the reports were inaccurate.

“This is not accurate,” the spokesperson said. “The State Department looks forward to having Kimberly Guilfoyle advance the America First foreign policy agenda in her capacity as US Ambassador to Greece.”

The Trump administration’s ambassador-designate to Greece was previously the “guest star” at a Washington D.C. event last January, organized by several top Greek-American leaders.
