Severe winter weather in northern Greece has left about 100 visitors stranded at the Falakro Ski Center in Drama. The group includes families with children, who remain safe but unable to leave due to snow-blocked roads and strong winds reaching up to 30 km/h.

According to Argyris Patakakis, the regional official responsible for the resort, the situation worsened when several vehicles, lacking proper winter equipment, became stuck while descending toward Drama. This caused significant delays in clearing the roads.

Currently, around 40 cars and a bus remain trapped at the ski center. Authorities have confirmed that all visitors are safe in heated areas of the resort. Once weather conditions improve, teams will begin the process of evacuating the stranded vehicles and passengers.
