13-Year-Old Falls From 5th Floor Of Thessaloniki Hotel

Authorities are investigating after the girl fled a hotel room with two men who ran off when staff realized she was a minor

A 13-year-old girl is being treated for serious injuries at Hippokrateio Hospital in Thessaloniki after falling from the 5th floor of a hotel in the Agioi Pantes area.

According to reports, the minor was in a hotel room with two foreign nationals, who fled the scene after the hotel receptionist realized she was underage and went up to knock on the door.

The girl is believed to have fallen from the 5th-floor balcony and landed in the hotel’s landscaped grounds. Fire department crews rushed to the scene to help recover her.

An EKAB ambulance then transported the injured minor, who had suffered multiple fractures, to Hippokrateio Hospital.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. During the fall, she appears to have struck an awning on the building, which is believed to have slowed her descent to some degree.

Authorities are now investigating the circumstances that led to the fall, while the two men who were with her are being sought. As part of the investigation, testimony is also being collected from hotel staff.

The exact circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
