AEGEAN Airlines has issued an apology to passengers following continued delays at Athens’ Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport.

The airline reported that since the morning of Thursday, September 25, air traffic control has limited arrival capacity at the airport by approximately 25%. This restriction has caused flight delays of 30–40 minutes during morning hours, which have increased throughout the day due to the cumulative effects of aircraft departures and returns.

In an official statement, AEGEAN reassured travelers: “We apologize and assure you that we are making every effort to reduce the impact on our passengers.”

This marks the second consecutive day of disruptions affecting both arrivals and departures, creating significant inconvenience for passengers navigating the airport.

Despite the delays, the airline emphasized that operations continue and the airport remains open, with measures being taken to restore normal flight schedules as quickly as possible.
