road accidents athens

Shortly before 11:00 a.m., a second fatal crash took place on Petrou Ralli Avenue, one of the main roads leading into central Athens. According to initial reports, a motorcycle carrying two people veered off course for unknown reasons and struck a roadside pole. The impact killed one rider instantly, while the other was left in critical condition and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Traffic police have launched investigations into both incidents to determine the causes of the crashes. Emergency services responded immediately in each case, but the accidents highlight once again the high toll of road fatalities in the Greek capital.
