A two-year-old boy was rushed to Heraklion University Hospital in an intubated state on Tuesday morning after falling from the balcony of his home in the Lenika area of the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos.

According to information from ERT, the child slipped away from his parents’ attention and, for reasons that remain unclear, ended up falling from the balcony of his home.

The boy was initially taken to Agios Nikolaos Hospital, where he underwent a CT scan. Doctors determined the severity of his injuries and decided that transferring him to PAGNI (the University Hospital of Heraklion) was necessary.

The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
