Two impressive videos shot from a drone showing an Athenian boulevard and a main square decked out for the Christmas and New Year’s season and with the Parthenon atop the Acropolis illuminated in the darkened background are going “viral” on social media around the world.
The videos were shot last Thursday afternoon, when the Christmas tree in Athens’ main Syntagma Square was lit during a ceremony, officially marking the start of the festive season in dazzling way manner, days before December.
The video was first posted on Instagram by a private user.
