A wildfire was reported in the eastern Mani district – extreme southern Greece – on Sunday morning, described as raging in a remote region of low vegetation.
The exact site was given as Lagia.
A fire-fighting force of 33 fighters operating 11 vehicles was at the scene, assisted by three water-dropping aircraft.
Earlier, a fire at the Mesohoria site in south-central Evia Island was reported as under control.
Much of Greece remains in high alert on Sunday for wildfires, although an ebbing of gusty winds and even sporadic rainfall in the north has reduced the risks for blazes.
A wildfire front near the western port city of Patras last week was the most destructive so far this month.
