A 33-year-old former police officer, known for his active presence on TikTok, was arrested in Athens after authorities discovered drugs and illegal substances at his residence. The man, who previously served in the Immediate Response Unit of Attica, had gained attention on social media for his commentary on social and police-related issues.

The arrest was the result of a long-running investigation by Greece’s Internal Affairs Division, which had reportedly been monitoring the former officer after receiving a complaint regarding his alleged involvement in drug trafficking. Investigators suspect he may have resigned from the force after sensing the growing scrutiny.

The arrest unfolded when the man visited his former police department to request an official document. There, he was informed about the investigation and the upcoming search of his residence, to be conducted with judicial oversight.

During the search at his home in Palaio Faliro, another man—who was temporarily staying there—opened the door and allegedly attempted to block the officers from entering. He then rushed inside and reportedly tried to flush 153 grams of cocaine down the toilet.

In addition to the cocaine, police found anabolic pills, ammunition, and the former officer’s police ID, which he had previously claimed was lost.

The suspect remains in custody as of Monday, August 4, and is expected to appear before a prosecutor later in the day to face formal charges.
