Companies and workplaces across Greece can now apply for official diversity certification after the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family announced the launch of a new Diversity Label platform.
The initiative, designed to promote quality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, was presented this week in Athens at an event titled “Diversity & Inclusion at Work: From Policy to Practice”.
The Diversity Label is awarded to businesses that implement comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies, including equal treatment and anti-discrimination policies. According to the ministry, the certification aims to strengthen organizational performance, boost competitiveness and align companies with modern sustainability standards.

Applications can be submitted online through April 27, 2026, or until the first 100 workplaces apply. The dedicated digital platform officially opened on March 2.
In a message aired during Monday’s presentation in Athens, Social Cohesion and Family Minister Domna Michaelidou said the initiative marks a shift from theory to practice and assessment.
“The institutionalization of the Diversity Label has exactly this goal,” Michaelidou said. “Inclusion is not a parallel social action. It is at the core of the development strategy. This is where the goals of the state and the aspirations of the market meet, so that every person can participate productively in economic life.”
She added that “social cohesion and economic development are two aspects of the same strategy,” emphasizing that the government’s objective is to make inclusion a stable feature of the Greek labor market through measurement, transparency and cooperation with the business community.
Participation in the program is free of charge and funded by Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. More information is available on the ministry’s official website.
