Local rain is expected in several parts of Greece Friday, with a small chance of thunderstorms developing over the southeastern Aegean islands. Later in the evening and into early Saturday, rainfall and storms are forecast to intensify in western parts of the country.

Temperatures will show a mild upward trend, particularly in the east and north. In western Macedonia, they will range from 5°C to 14°C, while in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, they will reach up to 18–19°C. Thessaly will see 4–18°C, Epirus 5–20°C, and other mainland areas around 4–20°C. The Ionian Islands will experience 11–19°C, and the Aegean Islands and Crete will range from 12°C to 20–21°C.

Winds over the Aegean will start from the north at 4–5 Beaufort, gradually weakening and turning southerly later in the day, at 2–4 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, southerly winds will prevail, reaching 4–5 Beaufort.

In Athens, skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of light rain, mainly in the northern suburbs. Winds will shift from light northerlies to gentle southerlies in the afternoon, reaching 2–3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 14°C to 19–20°C.

In Thessaloniki, passing clouds and the possibility of local showers are expected. Winds will be generally light and southerly, up to 2–3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 12°C to 17–18°C.
