A shocking discovery has rattled Boeotia, Greece, after authorities found a burned car in a remote agricultural-forest area near Skourta last Friday. Inside the vehicle was a charred body bound in handcuffs, raising immediate concerns of a violent crime.

The victim is Sulo Halili, a 27-year-old Albanian man from Tepeleni, who had been living in Chalkida. Halili disappeared on November 4, and his family reported him missing on November 9, prompting a Silver Alert to help locate him. His phone had been turned off, and his car was found abandoned in Vilia, Attica, before authorities traced the burned vehicle in Boeotia.

Due to the severe state of the body, even identifying the victim’s gender was initially impossible. Police investigations revealed that the victim had been handcuffed and likely shot, pointing to premeditated murder. The car had been stolen in Glyfada and displayed fake license plates from another vehicle registered in Katerini, suggesting a deliberate attempt by the perpetrators to erase evidence.

Halili was reportedly known as a hard-working, low-profile individual in Chalkida. Authorities are now focusing on his recent social contacts, as his acquaintances may provide clues about the motive and suspects.
