Man Found Dead Near Athens’ Larissa Station

Police say the body of a man believed to be a foreign national in his mid-20s was found near a hotel, with investigators examining whether he fell from a building

A man was found dead on the afternoon of Friday, July 3, near Larissa Station, the main railway hub in central Athens, prompting a response from emergency services.

The body was discovered at the junction of Neofytou, Metaxa and Deligianni streets, close to a well-known hotel in the area. According to initial reports, the man was a foreign national believed to be about 25 years old.

Authorities are examining the possibility that he fell from an upper floor, either of the hotel itself or of an adjacent building.

An ambulance from the National Center for Emergency Care, known by its Greek acronym EKAB, and a significant police presence were dispatched to the scene. Investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
