Public transport in Athens is facing significant disruption today after the city’s metro and tram workers announced an emergency work stoppage. The industrial action affects all metro lines—Line 1 (Kifisia–Piraeus), Line 2, Line 3—as well as the tram network.

According to STASY, the company operating fixed-track transport in Athens, services will come to a complete halt from 12:00 to 18:00 on Wednesday, 26 November. The announcement was made earlier in the day, leaving many commuters scrambling to adjust their travel plans.
