Traffic restrictions will be implemented in the port city of Piraeus on Sunday, March 15, 2026, due to the running event “Piraeus Port Run 2026.”
According to local authorities and traffic police, temporary road closures will take place between 09:00 and 12:00, with vehicle circulation gradually interrupted along the race routes. Drivers will be redirected through nearby streets following instructions from traffic officers.
Authorities have advised motorists to avoid the affected roads and surrounding squares during the specified hours in order to minimize congestion and facilitate the safe conduct of the race.
Race Routes and Schedule
The event includes multiple race categories taking place along central and coastal roads of the city.
5 km race – 09:00 start
The race begins near Korai Square, moving along Iroon Polytechneiou Street, before turning toward the coastal area through Sakhtouri and Freattyda streets and continuing along Akti Moutsopoulou toward the Pasalimani area. Runners then make a turnaround near the Marina Zeas roundabout and return to the starting area for the finish.
10 km race – 09:12 start
Also starting from Korai Square, the longer route heads along Iroon Polytechneiou and Hatzikyriakou Avenue, before reaching the coastal road of Akti Themistokleous. The route continues along the waterfront and Akti Moutsopoulou toward Alexandras Square, where runners turn back and follow the same coastal route before finishing again near Korai Square.
Children’s race – 1 km
Two children’s races will take place at 10:45 and 10:55, following a flat 1 km route along the first section of Iroon Polytechneiou Street before turning back near Skouze Street.
