A 36-year-old singer has been charged with two misdemeanors following a drunk driving incident in Kolonaki, in an upscale district in central Athens.

According to prosecutors, the performer allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol and crashed into five parked vehicles. Due to this she now faces charges of dangerous driving and driving while intoxicated.

Court documents state that she underwent an alcohol test after the incident, which reportedly showed a blood alcohol level significantly above the legal limit.

The accused has been referred to trial before a single-judge misdemeanor court under Greece’s fast-track legal procedure for offenses committed in the act.
