Six people were arrested during an overnight police operation at a nightlife venue in Argostoli, on the Greek island of Kefalonia, according to Greece’s Organized Crime Unit.
The operation took place in the early hours of Sunday, June 21, 2026, as part of wider efforts to tackle activities linked to serious and organized crime on the island. Officers from a special police task force conducted checks at the entertainment venue, located in the island’s main town.
Charges include resistance, threats and assault
Following the operation, authorities filed charges against the six individuals involved. Depending on the case, the accusations include resisting authority, threats, and causing bodily harm. Additional charges relate to violations of laws protecting minors from alcohol and tobacco consumption.
According to police, five of those arrested refused to comply with the required checks during the inspection. One of them is also accused of threatening and physically attacking officers, resulting in minor injuries to a member of the special police unit.

The legal representative of the nightclub was also taken into custody after investigators found that minors had been allowed to enter the venue and consume alcoholic drinks, in breach of relevant regulations.
All those arrested were taken to the competent public prosecutor for further legal proceedings.
