Greece is enjoying unseasonably warm weather this November, with forecasters predicting sunshine, mild conditions and temperatures more typical of early spring. According to the national weather service, much of the country will see clear skies on Sunday, thin cloud cover and pockets of morning and evening fog on the mainland.

In Athens, the day will remain mostly sunny with light cloud early on, and temperatures ranging from 12°C to 21°C. Thessaloniki will see cloudier intervals but remain mild, with highs of around 18°C. Later in the day, thicker clouds are expected to form over the Ionian Sea, spreading gradually into western and northern regions overnight.

Winds will blow mainly from the south, while a light westerly flow will affect southern parts of the Aegean. Forecasters also note favourable conditions for Saharan dust transport, particularly across western Greece.

Warmer Start to the Week

Monday will bring more cloud cover nationwide, with light rain possible in the northwest by evening, including isolated thunderstorms over the Ionian Sea and Epirus. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 20–22°C in northern and western Greece and up to 24°C elsewhere. Southeasterly winds are expected to strengthen through the day, reaching up to 7 on the Beaufort scale in parts of the Aegean.

Outlook for Tuesday

On Tuesday, showers and scattered storms are expected in western and northern regions, especially over the Ionian Sea and Epirus, where rainfall may be locally intense. The rest of the country will see alternating sun and cloud. Temperatures will remain high for the season, climbing to 20–22°C in the west and north and up to 25°C in eastern and southern areas. Southern winds will continue, with stronger gusts across the northern Aegean.
