“Rainy” and “windy” are the two words of today’s weather as Storm “Emir” is taking effect. Initially, clouds and local rain are expected mainly in the mountainous areas of Central and Western Macedonia, Thessaly, Central and the Eastern mainland, and Eastern Peloponnese.

However, come early evening, rain showers will occur in the Ionian Sea, mainland, and Western Peloponnese, while thunderstorms and possibly hailstorms are expected, particularly in the Ionian Sea.

Dust concentrations in the atmosphere will also be relatively high.

Temperatures will range from 5 to 14 degrees Celsius in Western Macedonia, from 5 to 19 in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, from 10 to 20 degrees in Thessaly, from 11 to 20 degrees across the mainland, from 11 to 23 in the Peloponnese, from 14 to 19 in the Ionian, from 7 to 20 in the Northern and Eastern Aegean, from 13 to 19 in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, and from 13 to 21 degrees in Crete.
