The bad weather that hit Greece yesterday evening continues today, with rainfall and storms expected until noon in the northern and eastern parts of the country. Intense phenomena in western and central Macedonia, especially in the regional unit of Pieria have caused significant alarm.

In the rest of the country, local rains and isolated storms are expected especially in the west. Snowfall will occur in the mountains, mainly in the northern part of the country.

Winds will blow west at 4 to 5 points on the Beaufort scale and in the south locally at 6 to 7 Beaufort.

A drop in temperature is also expected. Daily highs of 14 to 15 degrees are expected in the north and west, of 17 degrees in the rest of the mainland, and of 18 degrees in the Aegean.
