Woman Killed in Corfu Crash as Driver Remains in Critical Condition

A fatal road accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the area of Kouramades on the island of Corfu, leaving one woman dead and another seriously injured. The crash happened when a car lost control and veered off the road, trapping both occupants inside.

According to local reports, the two women—mother and daughter—were inside the vehicle when it crashed. The passenger, approximately 75 years old, suffered fatal injuries. The driver, around 48, was critically hurt and remains hospitalized.

Firefighters were called to the scene to free the women from the wreckage before they were taken by ambulance to the local hospital. Doctors confirmed the passenger’s death shortly after arrival.
