The countdown is on for the 2026–27 UEFA Nations League group-stage draw, scheduled to take place in Brussels on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7:00 pm, with Greece’s national team preparing for a landmark moment as it enters League A for the first time in its history following two consecutive promotions.

A total of 54 UEFA member associations will compete in the tournament, divided into four tiers based on the official rankings. In Leagues A, B, and C, the draw will form four groups of four teams. Each national side will face one opponent from each of the other seeding pots, playing six matches in total — three at home and three away. League D will consist of two groups of three teams, with each nation playing four matches overall.

League A pots featuring Greece

The top tier of the competition includes 16 teams divided into four seeding pots:

• Pot 1: Portugal, Spain, France, Germany
• Pot 2: Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Croatia
• Pot 3: Serbia, Belgium, England, Norway
• Pot 4: Wales, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey

Greece has been placed in Pot 4, meaning it is guaranteed to face three higher-ranked opponents, one drawn from each of the upper pots, in what promises to be a demanding but historic campaign for the national side.
